The 60 years covering the presidential administrations of William Howard Taft through Lyndon Johnson saw the addition of 13 new national monuments (not counting the second Grand Canyon National Monument), located throughout Arizona. This map shows the locations of those monuments. Several of these national monuments require some effort to reach, but visitors are well rewarded for their efforts with spectacular scenery and fascinating stories of the people who have inhabited this land.
